| That would be me! I am Katie Hofgard, a young painter and illustrator currently attending the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. My art is heavily influenced by my love for animals, especially wolves and dogs. I grew up in the rocky mountains of Colorado, playing and learning in the thick pine woods surrounding my home. I actually wanted to be a paleontologist when I grew up, but I spent so much time drawing dinosaurs instead of looking for them, that I became an artist instead. I’m currently working towards publishing my own line of products, now including bookmarks, stickers and magnets, as well publishing my own illustrated books. | This is Wolfy, the site mascot! He was my best friend growing up, my very own dog. My mom and dad bought the little American Eskimo pup for me for christmas of 1991, closely following the death of one of my 1st grade friends. He was nothing but a nervous white puffball with the sniffles, but he quickly became my little brother. We roamed the woods of the rockies together, and shared in our love of snow and foods we weren’t allowed to have. And when he became an old man and died at the age of 16, I knew I had given him to best life I could. To this day the relationship we had remains a strong source of inspiration. | ||||
